Harvey Norman Furniture Fyshwick is looking for an experienced full-time Floor Manager to oversee daily floor operations, lead a dynamic sales team, and elevate the customer experience in a fast-paced, large-format retail environment.
About the Role:
This position will be directly reporting to the Store Manager and Furniture Properietor and the job description includes but is not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain effective day-to-day store operations and determine the level of stock for smooth sales and service standards.
Drive increasing sales, through add-on sales and by providing input and ideas on how to continuously build sales.
· Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets.
· Ensure the store floor is well presented, fully stocked, and merchandised according to brand guidelines.
· Monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and implement improvement plans where necessary.
· Resolve customer issues or complaints quickly and effectively, escalating when required.
· Collaborate with the Store Manager on staffing, scheduling, and team development.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
· Track and report daily sales performance, KPIs, and floor productivity.
· Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and stocktakes as required.
· Coordinate with visual merchandising and warehouse teams to maintain smooth operations.
Uphold all workplace health and safety regulations and company policies.
What You'll Bring:
· At least a diploma or higher qualification in business or management.
· At least two to three years skills experience in retail management or supervision, ideally in furniture or large-format retail.
Strong leadership and communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
Sound commercial judgement and a passion for sales and home furnishings.
Confidence in using POS systems, stock software, and performance reporting tools.
The ability to multitask, manage priorities, and maintain high standards under pressure.
Working Conditions:
Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and peak trade periods.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and assist with lifting stock when needed.
