Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily transport allocation, warehousing activities and staff/driver management at our NSW depot. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring our operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with company standards and client expectations.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong operational knowledge, exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment. Salary and benefits will be negotiated based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day transport scheduling, driver allocation and fleet utilisation.

Manage warehousing operations including inventory control, loading/unloading and dispatch.

Lead, support and mentor operational staff and drivers to ensure high performance and safety compliance.

Drive efficiency through process improvements and effective resource management.

Monitor KPIs to ensure service levels are met or exceeded.

Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.

Ensure all operations are compliant with relevant industry regulations, OH&S and company policies.

Collaborate with the senior management team on planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience & Skills:

Proven experience in a transport and warehousing operations leadership role.

Strong knowledge of logistics scheduling, warehouse processes and fleet management.

Excellent leadership and team management skills with a focus on performance and accountability.

Effective problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficient in management systems (TMS & WMS) and Microsoft Office suite.

Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and fatigue management.
