Are you ready to bring your energy and expertise to a dynamic team delivering critical infrastructure for the Knox community? We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Delivery Officer to join our Civil Construction team and contribute to the planning and delivery of asset renewal programs for essential infrastructure such as roads, pathways, and drainage.

Reporting to the Coordinator Civil Construction, you'll work alongside project engineers, field crews, and contractors to successfully deliver a range of capital works projects. You’ll be empowered to lead with a solution-focused mindset and ensure each project meets quality, budget, and timeline expectations — all while serving the needs of our growing community.

This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Operations Centre in Knoxfield. We offer a range of flexible work options to support your work-life balance.

This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $95,488 to $104,288 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will bring to this role

The key selection criteria for this role are:

  • Experience in traffic management and Occupational Health and Safety regulations particularly as they relate to the delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in contract management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the road management environment including relevant legislation and how it relates to asset management and the delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Planning skills to assist in the development of annual civil infrastructure and road related asset renewal infrastructure programs.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills involving effective communication both verbally and in writing with all levels of management, staff, contractors, organisations and individuals affected by Council's projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse problems and make informed decisions on a day-to-day basis.
  • Experience supervising contractors for civil works, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, quality and time constraints.
  • Strong written communication skills in the preparation of reports, correspondence and contract documents as well as process documentation.
