We are looking for a Production Assistant with Graphic design and Print experience in the signage industry. This role provides you with the opportunity to grow and develop your existing skills to become a superstar in the signage industry.
This position is at the heart of the business, as you will play a pivotal role in designing, printing, and producing signs. You will be focused on the design and assisting the production team, which includes all aspects of design layouts and mock-ups, setting up print and cut files, and operating a wide-format printer, plotter and CNC router (training will be provided if required).
As a team, we design, manufacture, and install a wide range of signage projects using up-to-date technology and a variety of design and fabrication skills.
Whilst we take our work very seriously, we also make sure that we have some fun along the way and genuinely enjoy what we do. So, it’s important that whoever we hire is a strong team player.
Remuneration will be based on experience. The successful applicant will receive a package between $60,000 and $75,000.
Immediate start is available for this position.
Full Time Hours (38PW)
Core duties include:
Design layouts for mock-ups, client proofs and print-ready files
Print, laminate, plotter & CNC operations (training will be provided if required)
Assisting the production team & Sales team to meet deadlines
Assisting in producing signs
Help out on installs as and when needed
Assist with phone enquiries and walk-ins (which include follow-up calls to clients)
Skills & Experience
Australian Worker Rights Apply
2+ years experience in Graphic design/Signage Design & Producing Signs
Experience in design software - Adobe programs, Flexi, Enroute & Production Manager - training is provided (Please note, Canva is not a sign design software)
Knowledge of colour management for print set-up and printing
Preferred knowledge of HP Latex wide-format printers, Graphtec plotter and Multicam CNC Router
Problem-solver, strong communicator, accountable & attention to detail
Strong organisational skills & Time management skills
Be willing to learn new skills
Full Driving Licence
Required Qualifications
A certificate, Diploma or Degree in Graphics or equivalent relevant experience is highly desirable
A certificate or Diploma in Signage or equivalent relevant experience is highly desirable
