As a Maintenance Worker – Unsealed Roads, you’ll be on the front line making sure our unsealed road network stays safe, accessible, and in top shape for locals, farmers, businesses, and tourists alike.

What You’ll Be Doing

Carry out routine and emergency maintenance of unsealed roads and drainage

Operate machinery including trucks, loaders, backhoes, and chainsaws

Record daily works, timesheets, and equipment use accurately

Follow safety procedures and contribute to a safe worksite

Support other crews across the organisation as needed

Represent Council in the community with professionalism and pride

What You’ll Bring

Experience in outdoor or civil maintenance, construction, or similar hands-on work

A Medium Rigid Driver Licence (essential); Heavy Rigid Licence preferred

Traffic control and chainsaw certifications (preferred)

First Aid Level 2 and plant operation tickets like front-end loader/backhoe (preferred)

Certificate III in Civil Construction or a willingness to work towards it

A strong work ethic, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work well as part of a team
