We are currently partnering with a well-established organisation in the energy and resources sector, known for its long-standing operations in Australia and commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence.

Due to increased workload, our client is seeking a Undergraduate Accounts Officer to join their Brisbane-based team on a 12-month part-time contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a highly respected business, providing vital accounts and administrative support to a high-performing team.

How you will contribute

You will be an experienced and detail-oriented administrator, ideally with experience in finance support or commercial operations within complex or resource-based industries.

Key skills and attributes include

• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail;
• Excellent organisational and time management skills;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Previous experience with ERP (desirable but not essential);
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel);
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team; and
• Experience in accounts payable and invoice processing highly regarded.

What we’re looking for

Reporting to the Manager, this role plays a critical part in supporting the Accounts function. Your responsibilities will include;

• Processing and entering service provider invoices;
• Preparing despatch and demurrage invoices for customers and suppliers;
• Assisting with commercial documentation and invoicing processes;
• Tracking payments and following up on outstanding invoices;
• Maintaining internal registers and databases with accurate data entry; and
• Providing general administrative support to the broader commercial team.
