About the job

The Finance Systems Analyst will drive system management, maintenance and improvement for the finance team's technology platforms. This role will assist in the development and maintenance of financial systems with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, MAGIQ, SQL, and Power BI.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will:

  • Finance Systems Management: Administer and optimise key financial systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central, MAGIQ, Continia), ensuring accurate data, effective workflows, and system performance in line with policies and compliance standards.
  • Data Integrity & Reporting: Support data validation and integration processes, develop Power BI dashboards and MAGIQ reporting templates, and deliver insightful reporting solutions to enhance financial decision-making.
  • Training & Support: Provide system training, user support, and maintain clear procedures and guides to ensure optimal system use across finance and operational teams.
  • Project Leadership: Lead finance system projects from planning through implementation—managing upgrades, enhancements, and cross-team collaboration to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Risk & Compliance Oversight: Manage system access, enforce segregation of duties, and uphold internal controls to ensure finance systems meet all audit, security, and regulatory requirements.

Skills and experience

The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Expertise in SQL, Power BI, Dynamics 365, and advanced Excel (incl. VBA); MAGIQ experience desirable.
  • Proven experience managing and optimising financial systems with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, influencing, and delivering process and system improvements.
  • Highly developed skills in time management, setting priorities, planning and organising own work to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Takes a pro-active client service approach and maintains excellent client relations.

This is a full-time, 12-month contract.
