About the role

We are seeking a friendly and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Wallsend Family Medical Centre. This is a casual role based in our clinic located in Wallsend, NSW 2287. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will play a vital part in ensuring our patients receive exceptional customer service from the moment they walk through our doors.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients in a warm and professional manner

Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's appointment schedule

Handling patient enquiries and providing information about our services

Collecting patient information and maintaining accurate medical records

Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry and ordering supplies

Providing support to the clinical team as needed

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with patients in a warm and empathetic manner

Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multitask

Proficiency in using Best Practice management software and Microsoft Office suite

A caring, professional and discreet approach to handling sensitive patient information

A commitment to providing high-quality customer service and contributing to a positive clinic environment
