About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Administrator to join our dynamic team at Harbour Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Coffs Harbour, NSW. This full-time role is an integral part of our medical practice, responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our administrative operations.

What you'll be doing

· Providing excellent customer service to patients, booking appointments, and managing patient records

· Handling medical billing and insurance claims processing

· Maintaining and updating the practice's electronic medical records system

· Coordinating the flow of information between medical staff, patients, and third-party providers

· Assisting with the implementation of practice policies and procedures

· Performing general administrative duties, such as data entry, filing, and inventory management

· Contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the practice

What we're looking for

· Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical administration or healthcare support role

· Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, medical staff, and external stakeholders

· Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

· Proficiency in using medical practice management software and electronic medical records systems

· Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and insurance processes

· A committed and proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

· Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
