The Digital Learning Facilitator will oversee the day to day activities in the newly established DIGI HUB which is a public access digital space. The position will coordinate scheduled training activities as well as providing group and one on one technology capacity support to Wadeye community members wishing to access a range of digital services – including MyGov, banking, support services and employment opportunities. The Digital Learning Facilitator will be instrumental in supporting and empowering community members to gain basic digital literacy skills and confidence.
About You
- Competent use of computers, handheld devices, email and Microsoft software
- Understanding of the varied functions of the internet
- Strong customer service, problem solving and communication skills
- Confident in communicating with people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to be patient and provide instruction in a way that is easy to understand
- Ability to work independently with a participant
Experience
- Experience in tutoring or teaching
- Experience working with indigenous participants
Essential Licences / Clearances prior to commencement
• NT Working with Children check (Ochre Card)
• Minimum Class C driver's licence
• National Police check
• NLC Work / Resident permits
