Qualifications & experience

Degree qualification in Information Systems, Asset Management or related field; Alternatively technical trade certificate (Essential).

AGSVA clearance (Baseline or higher) (Essential).

Certification in IT Service Management (e.g., ITIL) (Desirable).

Experience

Extensive experience in Defence IT environments or large enterprise applications.

Subject matter expertise in Navy or comparable logistics/asset planning systems.

Proven capability in failure classification, escalation, and root cause analysis.

Strong communication skills and experience engaging with Defence and vendor stakeholders.

Tasks & responsibilities

The SME provides support, oversight, and expertise within the Naval Logistics Information Systems (NLIS).

The role is responsible for the delivery of specialist support services, knowledge management, failure analysis, escalation handling, and stakeholder engagement.

The SME supports end users and contributes to the refinement and performance optimisation of NLIS systems, service delivery, and user satisfaction expectations.

The SME contributes to client projects, ERP strategies, and best practice principles.
