As a Senior Project Officer with the SEQ Koala Conservation Strategy, you will be working on Queensland's flagship Threatened Species Program, leading groundbreaking initiatives to safeguard koala habitats and ensure their future.

Your Role: As a Senior Project Officer, you'll:
Lead: Drive strategic initiatives and manage projects to support koala conservation and recovery. You'll be responsible for planning and delivering actions that protect and restore koala habitats.
Innovate: Contribute to the delivery of innovative projects that support the aspirations of First Nations Peoples and Community Groups. Your creativity and problem-solving skills will help develop effective conservation strategies.
Communicate: Prepare and review project plans, reports and executive correspondence to support program delivery. You'll also share the successes and insights from your projects, helping to promote the importance of koala conservation.
Collaborate: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, First Nations people, and industry partners.
Promote: Foster a workplace culture that supports equity, diversity and inclusion that will enrich our workplace culture and support our conservation efforts.
What We're Looking For:
Project Management Skills: Ability to plan work, manage competing priorities, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Strong Communication Skills: Proven ability to develop project management systems, prepare reports, and executive correspondence.
Conservation Program Experience: Practical experience in delivering conservation programs
Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: Contribution to workplace equity and diversity that enriches our culture of safety, innovation, respect, and inclusion.
Knowledge of Relevant Legislation: Understanding of policy, legislation and frameworks related to environmental protection and regulation.
Experience with First Nations Engagement: Knowledge of cultural protocols and mechanisms for appropriately engaging with First Nations people.
