As part of the Online and Digital team as the Senior Digital Communication Officer, you will deliver high quality strategic online communications advice and services to support departmental and whole-of-government projects and improving customer-centricity and user experience, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be a team player with the ability to proactively lead, implement and evaluate effective online communication strategies.
Using a strategic design-thinking communication approach, you will work with stakeholders to raise community awareness of and engagement with the department's products and services.
Your expertise will contribute to collaboration with cross-functional teams within SC&E, working together to find effective digital and creative solutions.

What you will be doing:
• Provide advice and support to deliver high-quality informational and transactional digital services using content management systems (CMS) to inform audiences of departmental programs, policies and initiatives.
• Design and develop customer-centric content of a complex and substantial nature for various digital platforms, including web applications and forms.
• Provide high-level support in the management of departmental internal and external websites using web CMS.
• Apply human-centred design methodology in content design and project delivery.
• Contribute to developing and conducting research and engagement activities (e.g. surveys, customer interviews, tree testing, usability testing).
• Advise clients on best practice, mandatory standards and policy for web (e.g. accessibility requirements, information architecture).
• Developing and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure communication and engagement services are strategic, customer-focussed and highly effective.
