We are looking for a friendly and reliable couple to manage the Canungra Showground Bush camping. Located in the Gold Coast Hinterland country township of Canungra, the campground is surrounded by mountain ranges and the picturesque Canungra Creek.

As caretakers, you will be responsible for:

Mowing & Whipper snipping - This is a fully grassed campground of substantial size, 25 acres

Cleaning Amenities - twice daily

Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the camping ground and facilities.

Managing bookings and guest relations (Office hours Monday – Sunday 9am – 5pm) Tuesday & Half Day Wednesday are the allocated Days off.

Checking in and out guests / handling payments

Providing information and assistance to guests

Enforcing rules and regulations

Dealing with any issues or emergencies that may arise

The ideal candidates will have:

A friendly, positive and professional attitude

Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, or customer service (preferred)

Good knowledge of computer systems (RMS Booking system, Word, Excel) Training will be provided if needed

High level of physical fitness

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to deal with difficult customers professionally

General Handy-man skills/ qualifications,

A high level of attention to detail and organisation

A valid driver’s license and own vehicle

A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

A love for camping and the outdoors

Blue Card Certification

Current First Aid / CPR course certificate (CPR Course is provided for free yearly)

Must have ABN & Current Public Liability Insurance

This is a live-in position, you will receive a competitive salary, on-site accommodation (2-bedroom cottage) and utilities.

There is a casual office administrative staff member to support the onsite caretaker.
