MOSSMAN RESORT HOLIDAY VILLAS

We are seeking responsible, hands-on, customer-focused and experienced Management Couple for a beautiful 22 villa Resort in tropical Mossman, QLD.

Mossman Resort offers comfortable standalone Villa accommodation with easy access, parking, pool, bar. This is a diverse role that will suit an energetic couple who have experience in customer service, property management, and delivering sales initiatives.

This is not a Management position for anyone new in the industry. Experience in a similar role is essential!

This is a contract role, after trial period. Preferred manager to have own ACN/ABN.

To start anytime from now – 1-3 year contract.

Contract Rate – Negotiable and relative to experience (80,000 to $100,000 plus performance incentive.

Responsibilities –

Being a very hands-on role you will be required to oversee and perform all day-to-day

operations. Duties will include but are not limited to:

o Prepared to work within all areas of the business.

o Reception and front of house. Directing and overseeing reservations, reception, Customer experience management.

o Business operations – finances and stock control.

o General & Pool maintenance, gardening and cleaning of the outdoor areas and gardens.

o Strong work ethic and reliability.

o Cleaning the Villas and reception/office, guest areas, with casual cleaners for assistance, as required.

o Food and beverage, events and functions. Able to prepare and provide breakfasts and beverage for guests and events.

o Maintaining rooms and grounds to the highest standards – Managers need to be very hands on, good at gardening and repairs/maintenance

o Housekeeping & Site Maintenance Management.

o Ordering amenities, linen & supplies.

o Co-ordinate onsite functions & events.

o Manage performance of employees, Staff recruitment & management.

o Ensuring compliance with Work Health & Safety Regulations.

o Observing liquor, gaming, and other laws & regulations (RMLV & Approved Manager

QLD)

o Provide guests with local tourism information & arrange tours and transportation.

o Manage and resolve guest concerns in a timely and appropriate manner to ensure optimum guest satisfaction. Responding to online reviews.

o Manage bookings, room rates and revenue control.

o Monitor and report as required.

o Monitoring budgets while maintaining cost controls, developing and implementing

sales and marketing to increase revenue alongside budgetary/KPI requirements.

o Proactively seek sales and marketing opportunities, ensuring a focus on continuous business development through proactive selling and online social media applications.

o This is a contract position, you are required to have an ACN/ABN for invoicing the Resort for payment.

Qualifications -

The successful applicants will have strong background in hospitality operations and cost control management. The ability to target and meet financial goals and budgets.

This role is best suited to a couple with an ability to present the resort and Villas to the best it can be.

o Experience in Managerial position in similar role/industry is mandatory

o understanding of online channel booking management, OTA’s and corporate booking agents experience

o We require good organisation and knowledge of the RMS hotel software system, Xero and Microsoft suite of programs

o Great with people and the ability to build rapport easily

o Passionate and motivated to succeed

o Excellent customer service, communication & marketing & social media skills

o Operate with integrity

o Hardworking and level-headed

o Implement & execute the Vision and Values of the Resort

o Manage family owned business, supported remotely by the owners.

o High attention to detail

o ‘Can do’ attitude that embraces change and can adapt when required

o Must have a passion for cleanliness, eye for detail and property presentation

o Experience and hands-on skills are a must!

o Must be willing to live on site
