Are you looking for a role where you can grow, make an impact, and truly be part of a team? This is an exciting opportunity to join a Not-for-Profit (NfP) organisation in the Hills District as an Internal Recruitment Consultant, working as part of a supportive People & Culture team.
We are looking for someone who is hardworking, adaptable, and willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
You’ll be the lead for recruitment within our clients' NDIS direct services division. You will be a key point of contact for hiring managers within the organisation, and so strong people skills and a proactive mindset are essential.
About the Role
This is a varied and hands-on internal recruitment role, ideal for someone who enjoys recruitment but doesn't enjoy making endless business development calls in a tough market. Our clients' NDIS Division is growing, and so there is the opportunity to grow a team under you while also getting involved in wider people and culture initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
What will you do? / How will you help?
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment for a diverse mix of specialised and management roles, focused on support workers for the disability sector. Offering variety, challenge, and the chance to make a real impact
- Support end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising roles, shortlisting candidates, co-ordinating interviews and preparing offers alongside the experienced HR team.
- Partner with hiring managers and stakeholders to develop effective ways to find the right candidates
- Work with the HR and compliance teams to handle recruitment-related administration including employment contracts, background checks, system updates and compliance checks
- Deliver a positive candidate experience by representing our values and culture at every stage of the process
- Track and share recruitment data to support workforce planning and identify areas for improvement
- Assist with recruitment-related projects, process improvements, and talent initiatives across the organisation
What do you need? /What are we looking for?
- At least 2 years’ experience in recruitment, ideally 1 year of that in internal recruitment.
- A consultative and confident approach—you’re skilled at influencing stakeholders and advising on hiring best practice
- Strong system capability, including ATS experience (JobAdder preferred) and proficiency with MS Office
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management—you thrive in fast-paced, high-trust environments
- A genuine interest in people, culture, and delivering outcomes that align with organisational values
