VU Online is seeking a motivated Recruitment Officer to assist with the recruitment and contract administration of independent contractors for our online courses.
This role would suit someone who has a knack for talent identification coupled with being a strong administrator. VUO is in scale up phase, so the role would suit someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up, identify areas of improvement and champion process improvement.
In this role, you will be responsible of hiring exceptional educators to deliver and author for our courses. Bring in your out of the box thinking to develop engaging recruitment strategies, organise training sessions and foster a culture of continuous improvement to attract, retain and develop talent. Key responsibilities:
Recruit and engage academic Independent Contractors who assist our team in the design and delivery of fully online Higher Education courses.
Manage recruitment processes including posting job advertisements, conducting interviews, drafting /executing contracts, record keeping and business improvement.
Coordinate the training and development of Contractors, including hosting inductions, organising training and resource material.
Work with Contractors to ensure they provide outstanding service to stakeholders, including: Students, Learning Designers, Online Teaching Leads and Course Coordinators.
Build strong internal relationships to ensure Contractors complete their deliverables on time and to standard.
Assist with financial matters such as supplier creation, invoice payments and purchase order requests.
Key selection criteria:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
At least 2 years' experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment Administration
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail and results-focused mindset.
Strong oral and written communication skills coupled with ability to use Microsoft office suite (including Word, Excel, OneNote and Outlook functions.
Previous experience with HRIS/recruitment systems is highly desired.
Willingness and ability to proactively fill any knowledge or skill gaps.
