Known for our commitment to quality and innovative design, we offer our community a range of products that support a dynamic lifestyle, both in and out of the studio.
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Garment Technician to join our dynamic production and design team. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standard of fit, quality and construction across our activewear, contemporary womenswear and outerwear collections. You will collaborate closely with our current Garment Tech, Design, Production and offshore suppliers to bring our vision to life, ensuring every product delivers on performance, style and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain detailed tech packs, ensuring accurate specifications, construction details and fit requirements are clearly communicated to suppliers.
Oversee all stages of fit approvals (Proto, SMS, PPS etc.), ensuring fit, key measurements, grading, workmanship and functionality meet brand and customer expectations.
Manage fit sessions, providing clear and constructive technical feedback to ensure alignment with design intent and commercial viability.
Liaise directly with offshore factories and suppliers to address fit, construction, quality and testing issues — ensuring timely resolutions and alignment across all production stages.
Conduct risk assessments on fabrications and styles, providing proactive solutions to minimise returns and quality concerns.
Collaborate with design and product development teams to ensure innovation in construction techniques, garment performance and material selection, particularly for high-performance activewear.
Approve and nominate accurate care labels, fabric testing protocols and quality standards, ensuring compliance and garment longevity.
Review and assess grading rules to maintain consistent fit across all sizes, with a strong focus on both performance fit and comfort.
Maintain internal style charts, BOMs and technical records, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
Work closely with the Production Coordinator to meet critical path timelines and support key seasonal milestones.
About You
Minimum 4+ years' experience in a Garment Technician or QA role within activewear, contemporary womenswear or outerwear.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion Design, Textile Technology or Pattern Making.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, grading, pattern making and quality assurance — experience with activewear fit and performance fabrics highly desirable.
Proficient understanding of technical fabrics, including stretch, compression, moisture-wicking and sustainable fabrications.
Exceptional attention to detail, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with offshore manufacturers and confident in managing supplier relationships.
Strong understanding of garment testing, compliance and customer care standards.
Confident communicator with the ability to provide clear technical instructions and collaborate cross-functionally.
Passion for the activewear industry and a genuine interest in technical innovation and sustainability.
