About the Role
This is a technical, problem-solving role supporting both our sales team and external partners. You’ll assist with system diagnostics, technical queries, pre- and post-sales support, and warranty processing.
The role reports to the Application Engineer and works closely with suppliers, electricians, solar installers, and wholesalers. It is an in-office role at our premises in Port Melbourne.
You’ll also work with and maintain communication with manufacturers’ technical teams, using their expertise and support channels to assist with complex diagnostics and warranty resolution. You’ll help track, validate and process warranty claims, using our repair centre facility when needed to verify issues. This role also includes product evaluation work, supporting the team in testing and assessing new equipment.
Key tasks include:
Diagnosing and troubleshooting inverter/charger and MPPT issues
Phone-based technical support and follow-up with installers
Preparing documentation and managing warranty claims
Liaising with manufacturer support teams to resolve technical matters
Collaborating with the repair centre for testing and fault confirmation
Supporting product evaluation and new technology trials
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Has several years of hands-on technical experience - either in the solar industry, as an electrician, or in a similar electrical or technical role
Understands how solar, battery storage, or inverter equipment works
Enjoys solving problems and helping others
Has good communication skills and is confident dealing with customers and suppliers
Is organised, detail-oriented and comfortable with paperwork
May hold a TAFE qualification in electrical or electronic subjects, or has completed a course in renewable energy
Is based in Melbourne and open to occasional travel if needed
