About the role

Are you an experienced professional looking for an exciting opportunity to plan, coordinate and deliver corporate asset management activities in one of the world’s most vibrant cities? The City of Sydney is seeking a skilled and motivated Asset Management Coordinator to prepare and coordinate the City’s Asset Management framework records to a global city standard.

The City of Sydney is responsible for approximately $16.6 billion in physical assets to support its delivery of services to the community. The City has developed a framework for embedding asset management objectives and principles. These principles are aimed at managing the City's assets to give the best possible long-term services to the City's residents, ratepayers and visitors.

As the Asset Management Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

Managing multiple concurrent projects all with competing priorities in a complex and changing work environment.

Building and maintaining effective working relationships with the Asset Strategy and Systems Manager, asset owners and other internal stakeholders in an environment of competing objectives and priorities.

Maintaining and understanding in detail the elements of an asset management system (as per the ISO55000 suite) and adapting them to suit organisational needs within a constantly evolving environment.

In doing so, the position actively engages with government, industry stakeholders and business units across the City of Sydney.

We’re looking for someone with:

Tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field, or practical experience in Asset Strategy/Administration.

Extensive experience in the practical application of asset management principles.

Demonstrated skills and experience in the development, writing, delivery and evaluation of asset management plans.

Highly developed oral and written communication skills, leadership skills, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.

Demonstrated ability to take the initiative in assigned tasks and meet deadlines without supervision.
