St John of God Bendigo Hospital is a 122-bed contemporary private hospital located in central Victoria providing high quality acute medical and surgical health care services for people in Bendigo and surrounding areas.
Your role at St John of God Bendigo Hospital
You will be responsible for the operational management of the Allied Health teams for the hospital and have both leadership and management responsibilities, also carrying a clinical caseload.
The Position
- Manage the day to day operations of allied health services, ensuring that they are consistent with the Divisions strategic and operational objectives to deliver connected and consumer focused health care.
- Ensures that the workforce is rostered effectively to enable expert clinical services within the Clinical Services Plan and productivity forecasts.
- Monitors key performance and financial indicators and takes appropriate action to address variance.
- Uses advanced clinical knowledge and experience to develop, evaluate and improve allied health services and to assist the various allied health professionals to develop new services to meet changing needs and demands.
- As part of the hospital's senior clinical leadership team, the Manager Allied Health will work in partnership with other clinical units to ensure clinical and business objectives are met.
- Participate in Manager Meetings as well as relevant committees and working parties.
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with relevant internal and external professional groups to build and enhance service delivery on a divisional and group-wide basis.
You will have relevant tertiary qualification in an Allied Health discipline, and registration or membership with the relevant Board or Association as required and significant contemporary experience in a senior Allied Health clinical position.
To succeed, you will demonstrate knowledge and ability to provide leadership in a complex, professional work environment and influence the achievement of required outcomes in areas of professional responsibility.

- Salary: $ 143,596.05 per annum (pro rata for part time), plus 11.5% superannuation
