We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate in our Process / Production Engineering team as a Process Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving our manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing practices and introducing technology to optimise production efficiency and increase capacity.

Key responsibilities include:

Production Engineering tasks, encompassing capital and process development projects.

Improvement of machinery and processes impacting Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost.

Support improvement activities in HSE.

Support the building for manufacture process.

Building Quality into the manufacturing process to continually reduce defects and rework.

Implementation and management of continuous improvement principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.

Driving technology projects to maintain a competitive facility.

Providing technical knowledge to the business in Production Engineering.

Providing leadership and support in Production Engineering to the Business.

The successful candidate will have:

A degree or proven experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry (minimum 2 years).

Knowledge of production processes, lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and quality control.

Experience in introducing new manufacturing equipment.

Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.

Previous experience in tooling and fixture.

Knowledge of manufacturing-based Value Stream Mapping.

Competence in using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Presentation, Outlook).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Positive, well-organised and demonstrate flexibility.

Project management and change management skills.

Strong written and verbal reasoning.

The following will be well-regarded:

Lean 6 Sigma knowledge and deployment experience.

Robotics implementation.

Web page development (Java Script).

Strong financial acumen.
