Their Yatala factory employs 30 staff and operates with a focus on sourcing ingredients locally from Queensland, ensuring that their products are free from MSG, preservatives, artificial colorings, and flavorings. With state-of-the-art technical capabilities and a FSSC 22000 certified quality control system, they maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

About The Opportunity

• Design and develop new processes and equipment to enhance plant operations, reduce costs, and improve product quality
• Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP plans to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance
• Design, install, and maintain metal detection systems to ensure product safety and compliance
• Analyse and optimise existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions
• Manage capital projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—operations, maintenance, quality, and sanitation—to ensure effective implementation of process improvements
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and standard operating

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, preferably in a process engineering capacity
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Hands on experience with fault finding and maintenance works
• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance
• Experience working with metal detection systems and foreign material control processes

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimisation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing and prioritising multiple projects
