Our client, a large and very well-known engineering brand in Australia, is seeking an experienced & certified Projects manager and Process engineer

Salary is between $200,000 - $230,0000

Key Purpose of Position

Project manage projects from conception to commissioning of chemical process equipment

To provide process and engineering functional expertise to support execution of capital and process projects to ANZ Operations

To support the rollout of process and reliability based programs for ANZ operations for equipment

Perform discipline specific engineering services as appropriate

Main Accountabilities

Effectively project manage and deliver capital-based projects and be responsible for the design, estimation, scoping, installation and commissioning on time and in full

Manage and /or participate on project teams and provide subject matter expertise as required, and develop the ability to work across engineering disciplines

Providing timely analysis and reporting of project costs, schedules, progress measurement and trends to ensure project status is assessed regularly, and problem areas identified quickly and resolved

Produce monthly reports on project status

Ensuring projects are managed in a way that creates a safe, healthy and secure workplace.

Support the implementation of systems for the ANZ region to ensure ongoing MHF compliance.

Detailed working knowledge of instrumentation systems

Assist sites with regulatory compliance inclusive of MHF and EPA.

Provide assistance to the Site Leader to maintain ANZ operations in a manner consistent with optimum productivity, regulatory compliance and cost of production through apt design and implementation of process and mechanical engineering enhancements and modifications

Provide in-house cost effective process and engineering and project management

Develop in-depth knowledge of our manufacturing processes and equipment to support the sites

Driving the implementation of Engineering Excellence in the position

Driving the implementation of Engineering Excellence for contractors implementing projects.

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Experience

The required skills, knowledge and experience are:

Senior Project Manager with 10+ years of experience

You will preferably be a degree-qualified Engineer with experience in hands-on, site-based project delivery as recognised by the Institution of Engineers, Australia

Process industry applied process engineering expertise in Chemical manufacturing and storage.

Background in manufacturing (liquid process industries ideally)

Project engineering experience in managing projects from start to finish with experience in design, installation and commissioning

Must possess excellent engineering project management skills with competency in managing across multi engineering disciplines

Strong reporting and project presentation skills are essential

Working experience with typical instrumentation systems desirable

Working knowledge of standards and regulations relevant to chemical and/or fuel industry

Proven ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with conflicting priorities that requires initiative, flexibility and adaptability

Strong technical and problem solving skills

Sound applied knowledge of EHS requirements in a 24/7 chemical manufacturing environment.

Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of promoting the concepts of teamwork.
