About the Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Night Manager, the Dock Supervisor is the main point of contact between the dispatch office and dock staff. You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and dispatch of customer orders, supervising the dock team, and ensuring the accuracy of all outgoing paperwork and stock handling. This position plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of customer service, safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate dock staff to ensure timely and accurate loading of delivery trucks

Act as the main communication link between dispatch and dock operations

Review and verify all dispatch paperwork (customer invoices, picking slips, OS & Subs)

Ensure substitutions and out-of-stock items are correctly handled and communicated

Supervise and allocate break schedules and workloads across the dock team

Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety of the dock and warehouse environment throughout the night

Conduct quality checks on bulk and customer picking lists before orders are loaded

Accurately track crates, pallets and run sheets for each delivery

Oversee safe and correct loading practices to prevent damage and mis deliveries

Train and mentor dock staff in compliance with operational procedures and safety standards

Report stock discrepancies, customer-specific requirements and performance updates to management

Ensure all processes align with HACCP guidelines and WHS policies

Promote teamwork, accountability and a respectful working culture on the floor

About You
You are a confident and detail-oriented warehouse professional who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment. You lead by example, are proactive in solving problems, and take pride in ensuring that every delivery leaves accurately and on time.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience in a warehouse or dispatch environment (essential)

Demonstrated leadership skills and experience supervising a team

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

The ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across departments

Current forklift licence (desirable)

Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg and work on your feet during the shift

Basic computer skills and ability to complete paperwork clearly and legibly

A good understanding of safety procedures, stock rotation, and food handling standards
