Accountant

· Salary: $75,000 per year, excluding super

· Permanent full-time

· Work location: Tweed Heads, 2485

We are currently seeking a qualified Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis (38 hours per week) from Monday to Friday at Tweed Heads. This role has become available due to business expansion and the need for greater internal support in managing financial operations.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director and will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, including:

Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies

Preparing financial statements for presentation to directors, shareholders, and regulatory bodies

Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, audits, and providing advice on business transactions, mergers, capital finance, suspected fraud, taxation, and insolvency

Examining operational costs and analysing income and expenditure

Ensuring the accuracy and statutory compliance of financial reporting

Providing financial and tax advice on business structures and operations

Preparing tax returns for individuals and organisations

Liaising with financial institutions and brokers

Maintaining internal control systems and introducing appropriate accounting systems

Assessing cash flow and financial risks where required

Successful applicants must have:

· A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting or a related field

· A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary: From $75,000 per year (excluding superannuation)
