Veale Auto Parts is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Midland. The Assistant Store Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in various aspects of store operations, including staff management, customer service, inventory management, and administration. This hands-on role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including staff management, store presentation and regular audits
- Providing exceptional customer service to all trades and retail customers who enter the store
- Coach and train team members to ensure high levels of performance and customer service
- Assist with stock management, including by-ins, stock transfers and returns
- Handling customer enquiries, inbound calls from mechanical trade customers and processing orders efficiently
- Provide accurate pricing, availability and compatibility information to customers
- Process sales transactions and invoices accurately
- Recommending and locating automotive parts
- Become proficient in banking and store operation procedures
- Developing & maintain strong relationships with customers ensuring their needs are met

ABOUT YOU:
- Have a love for all things cars
- Have management experience
- Knowledge of vehicle parts & the automotive industry
- Experience in a similar role dealing with car parts & trade customers
- Manual driver’s license
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive attitude and well-presented appearance
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Team player
- Be available to work some Saturday mornings
