Your Opportunity

You will report to the Finance Manager and together with an overseas AR support team, you will own your division's AR function, end to end, and add value to the business by keeping debtors in control and your internal and external customers informed.

This exciting position allows you to develop and create excellent, genuine relationships both with your B2B customers and your internal stakeholders, including sales, customer service and overseas team members.

You will manage the day to day responsibilities of AR, including:

Making high volume phone calls to customers and internal stakeholders to chase payments and resolve issues, processing payments, reporting and controlling outstanding debtors, resolving cash allocation and payment issues, various reconciliations, reporting and analysis tasks as well as managing the email inbox, and sending customer statements.

A large part of your role will be communicating with customers and internal stakeholders. This will include chasing overdue accounts (both small and high dollar value) and updating internal stakeholders with process related queries.

Longer term the role will allow you to use your initiative around process improvements and to work on other projects within the finance team, as they arise.

Your Profile

You must have experience in a high volume AR environment, likely with a mid sized product based organisation, and have the desire and enthusiasm to manage the AR process end to end.

This experience could have been gained in a pure AR position or in a broader accounts role.

To be successful in this role, you will be naturally inquisitive and a quick learner, with a solutions focused approach. Rather than just following a process, you will consider the why and adapt this to various situations.

You will have strong Excel skills (pivot tables and vLookUps are essential), and have ideally used Oracle (or another large ERP system).

Relationship management and communication are your special skill - you are calm, warm and influential and are driven to meet best practice in both AR and customer service (both internal and external).

You take pride in your work, have high levels of output and a great satisfaction from getting results.

The role is a permanent full time position paying up to $80,000 plus super plus bonus (around $5k). Ideally you are able to commence immediately, however a notice period will be considered for the right candidate.

You will be required to work in the office on Mondays and Tuesdays, and will have the flexibility to work from home on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, once you are up and running.
