About the Role
As Territory Manager – Garage Door Solutions, you will be responsible for managing a designated sales territory, driving growth through new customer acquisition, expanding existing relationships, and executing strategies to increase market share. Your key focus will be growing door volume sales among residential builders, contractors, retail outlets, resellers, and insurance clients.
You will have the autonomy to manage your pipeline, engage key stakeholders, and collaborate with internal departments to deliver seamless service and commercial results.
- Manage the performance of your territory by conducting regular business reviews, identifying declining accounts, and implementing action plans to improve customer engagement and sales outcomes
- Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities with residential builders, project home companies, and retail customers to meet and exceed territory sales targets
- Expand market share by introducing garage door products into untapped regions and segments, actively monitoring lead generation through pipeline and CRM tools
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders including contractors, resellers, and insurance companies to drive loyalty and repeat business
- Execute sales strategies that align with company targets, with a strong focus on volume growth, margin improvement, and upselling accessories and customisation options
- Act as a subject matter expert on garage door products, educating clients on features, options, installation solutions, and maintenance requirements
- Consistently achieve or exceed assigned KPIs and sales quotas through disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven track record in sales, ideally within garage doors, building materials, or the construction supply industry
- Demonstrated success in new business development, particularly within the residential construction and trade sales environments
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to present, negotiate, and close deals independently
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse customer base
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to broader team and business goals
- Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and quoting tools (e.g. Sage ERP experience highly regarded)
- Familiarity with garage door systems or related building products is advantageous
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required
