We are seeking a talented Industrial Automation Engineer to join our team in Rochedale, Queensland. This role would provide the opportunity to work across process systems, machine and motion control, IoT, safety systems and more.

The Role

As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will use your high-level technical knowledge to support our electrical team in delivering superior control system design, troubleshooting and development services to our wide range of clients.

This role is predominantly office based (7:30am – 4:30pm); however, you will be required to visit various client locations to assist our team from time-to-time.

Key responsibilities of this role

Developing PLC & SCADA programming for production machines using various platforms such as Omron and Allen Bradley

Trouble shooting PLC programming errors for our clients remotely and onsite

Assisting with the design, development and commissioning of automation solutions.

Supporting PLC/HMI programming, testing and fault finding.

Managing the planning, design, and execution of projects

Confidently communicating technical details to clients from a diverse range of industries

Ability to work independently and effectively manage set deadlines.

Essential Skills & Experience

A degree in Electrical Engineering or Advanced Diploma (control systems or a related field)

Advanced PLC programming knowledge with a strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Strong background in PLC systems including troubleshooting and commissioning

Ability to interpret electrical schematics and control system design

Experience in industrial electrical and automation settings

Proven ability to problem solve and navigate new challenges

Brings a positive, enthusiastic attitude to a team environment

Any practical electrical trade experience would also be an advantage
