We are currently seeking a Service Engineer to join our growing team and support our customers with expert maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation services.

About the Role

As an OFI Service Engineer, you will have the opportunity to build a career within the product inspection industry. Where you will be servicing world leading technology, every day. The role is centred around Mechanical, Electronics, and Instrumentation - as you repair and service machines at our client’s premises throughout Brisbane, and regional Queensland. This is a hands-on role, for someone not afraid to get their ‘hands dirty’. Your responsibilities will include the following but not limited to:

· Provide technical support to all relevant departments and technical teams to assist with any technical issues in the organisation.

· Liaise with senior engineer and the technical team regarding mechanical design, production, testing, or any documentation-related issue of all machinery and equipment.

· Field and workshop servicing, calibration, repair and maintenance.

· Set-up, commissioning and installation of Checkweighers, Metal Detectors, & X-ray systems.

· Maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.

· Providing regular calibration audits on equipment.

· Training of customers’ on the operation of installed OFI machines.

· Providing a great customer experience. Our customers love us for a reason.

· Preparing accurate reports on daily service activities.

· Undertaking workshop based assembly, and refurbishment.

· Perform site inspection to ensure compliance as per the requirements to increase efficiency.

· Ability to understand and implement quality management systems, tools, and processes within a culture of continuous improvement

· Effective oral and written communication skills with an ability to liaise with clients, vendor and contractor

· Ability to identify errors and have key attention to detail in assessing the information.

· Installations, assemble, setup and test all the electronic equipment and machine.

· Work with various electronic devices, including circuit boards, sensors, PLC, and power supplies.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic faults in the manufacturing equipment

· Understanding the importance of safe work procedures in a food environment and adherence to the implementation of principles of food safety.

To be successful in the role you would ideally have:

· A degree in Engineering

· Minimum three years’ experience in similar role.

· Strong interest in Electrical and Electronics. Experience would be an advantage.

· Mechanically minded

· A team player, with a great attitude, and a willingness to learn

· High level of personal presentation and communication skills

· NMI accreditation would be an advantage

· A positive can-do attitude, with the ability to take initiative to get things done

· Problem-solving skills

· Integrity - we don’t cut corners

· Ability to handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism

· Ability to identify errors and have key attention to detail in assessing the information.

Salary: AUD 85,000 per annum + Superannuation
