The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our team. This full-time, permanent position will be based at our client’s site in the Brisbane CBD, working within their corporate technology department.

Our client is one of Australia’s largest mining companies, and this role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic automation initiatives at the corporate level, with the flexibility to support operational sites as required.

Initially CBD-based for 6 to 12 months, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to transition into either our Projects Team or PCS Team, depending on career goals and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide expert control systems engineering support within a corporate technology environment.

· Maintain and optimise automation systems, with a focus on Schneider Electric and Citect SCADA platforms.

· Collaborate across departments to support control systems integration across IT and OT environments.

· Participate in site-based support and commissioning activities as needed.

· Prepare and maintain technical documentation, and contribute to system upgrades and enhancements.

About You

· Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience in Control Systems Engineering.

· PLC Programming - Schneider M580 PAC or Rockwell/Allen-Bradley ControlLogix or GE/Emerson

SCADA Engineering - CitectSCADA (Highly desirable), or Ignition, or FactoryTalk SE

· Experience in the mining or heavy industrial sectors is highly regarded.

· Comfortable working in both corporate and on-site environments.

· Exposure to multiple control systems such as Rockwell, GE, and Siemens is desirable.

· Strong programming skills, with experience across IT/OT systems, will be advantageous.
