Mechanical Section, Maintenance Branch – Infrastructure, Investment and Contracts

The Maintenance Branch is responsible for the delivery of the Northern Territory Government (NTG) Urgent Repairs and Cyclical Maintenance program in the Darwin Region on behalf of agencies; including managing period and panel contracts for maintaining building assets, the emergency and disaster management response for built infrastructure in the northern region.

There are four trade-based teams (Building, Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic), who manage period contracts and provide trade-related advice and resources to support Infrastructure Delivery branch with project delivery of Capital, Minor and Specific Maintenance projects as and when required

The Project Manager – Mechanical is responsible for the delivery of assigned Capital Works, Minor Works and Maintenance projects for NTG agencies in the Darwin Region and provides technical and project management advice and assistance in relation to projects and contracts being managed. Assigned projects may vary significantly in their scope, size and complexity, and are managed concurrently.

The successful applicant will need a Mechanical trade qualification - Heating Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC&R), experience directly related to the position. They will also need strong current technical knowledge and extensive experience in the Construction Code, relevant to Centralised Plant HVAC and Building Mechanical Services, relating to the delivery of infrastructure projects in a client focussed, cross-cultural environment.
