Are you passionate about empowering community service workers through training?
Response Employment and Training, a respected and award winning Registered Training Organisation (RTO), is looking for a dedicated Vocational Trainer and Assessor – Community Services Work to deliver high-quality, culturally appropriate training across regional and remote Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory.
About the Role:
You will deliver face-to-face training and assessment for nationally recognised community services qualifications (e.g., CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support; CHC42021 Certificate IV in Community Services), supporting learners to gain essential skills for careers in aged care, disability support, and broader community services work.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering accredited training to students in remote NT communities.
Using culturally sensitive and learner-centred approaches to training delivery.
Travelling extensively by light aircraft and driving manual 4WD on unsealed roads.
Building respectful and trusting relationships with learners and local stakeholders.
Maintaining accurate training records and providing learner support.
What We’re Looking For:
Relevant industry experience in aged care, disability support, or community services work.
Ability and willingness to travel regularly to remote NT communities.
Manual driver’s licence and competent 4WD skills on bush roads.
Excellent communication, adaptability, and relationship-building skills.
Cultural awareness or a strong commitment to learning cultural protocols for each community.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116) – or a willingness to undertake a traineeship with our full support.
Desirable:
Experience delivering training, mentoring or supervision.
Experience working in regional or remote Aboriginal communities.
Background in trauma-informed, person-centred, or strengths-based care.

Competitive salary - advertised salary is the annual base rate, travel allowances and superannuation are in addition to the base salary.
