Are you a confident and creative communicator looking to bring your skills to a purpose-driven organisation? We’re currently seeking an experienced Communications Specialist for a 12-month contract with a respected not-for-profit delivering impactful services across the community.

This full-time opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their role — from strategic planning through to hands-on content creation. You’ll be joining a passionate team and playing a key part in delivering communication strategies that genuinely make a difference.

We’re looking for someone with a strong writing background, a knack for building relationships, and the ability to work across multiple platforms and audiences. You’ll need to be confident working both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.

In this role, you will:

Develop and implement communication strategies and multi-channel campaigns that engage and inspire

Create compelling, audience-focused content across internal and external platforms

Provide communications advice and support across a variety of meaningful projects and organisational priorities

What you’ll bring:

A degree in Communications, PR or Journalism

3–5 years’ experience in a similar communications or public relations role

A strong grasp of the media landscape, political and social context, and sector dynamics

Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences

Bonus if you have experience in stakeholder engagement, issues management, or media relations
