Full time – 38 hours per week

About the Role
The Aboriginal Client Support Program provides culturally safe support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This program ensures access to essential services that promote stability, wellbeing, and connection to culture.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing case management and crisis resolution support to individuals and families
Assisting clients in accessing housing, education, employment, and wellbeing services
Advocating for and supporting clients in securing and sustaining safe, long-term housing
Strengthening connections to Country and culture through culturally safe approaches
Collaborating with internal and external services to ensure holistic, client-centred support
About You
You are a compassionate and committed individual with a strong understanding of the challenges and needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Key attributes we are looking for:
Commitment to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Strong understanding of the social, economic, and cultural factors affecting Aboriginal families
Ability to provide client-centred support, prioritising the needs of individuals and families
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of computer literacy, including experience using word processing and database systems
Strong organisational and time management skills
Qualifications and Registrations:
A tertiary qualification in social work or a housing-related discipline (desirable)
Understanding of housing systems, both private and social, and the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (Victoria), including the July 2021 amendments (highly desirable)
What We Offer
Competitive pay and conditions based on the SCHADS Award: Level 4 pay Point 1 -4 based on qualifications and experience).
Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part- or Full-time employees.
