Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Reporting

Support month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

Assist with preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and monthly management reports

Ensure accuracy of general ledger and compliance with accounting standards

Maintain fixed asset registers and related schedules

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

Prepare and lodge BAS, FBT, payroll tax, and superannuation obligations

Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and support external audits

Maintain appropriate documentation for tax, audit, and statutory purposes

Operational Finance

Oversee AP/AR processes and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely payments and collections

Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow for the ANZ entity

Manage employee reimbursements and payroll journals

Business Support & Improvement

Provide financial insights and reporting to support decision-making across departments

Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and enhance efficiency

Support the Finance Head in ad hoc analysis and finance projects

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

CPA/CA qualified (or near completion)

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in a full-function accounting role in Australia

Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance

Hands-on experience with accounting software

High attention to detail, accountability, and ability to work both collaboratively and independently

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

8. Experience in FMCG, e-commerce, or SME environments is a plus
