The Opportunity

This is a prime opportunity for a detail-oriented and commercially-minded Financial Accountant to step into a role with significant scope across fixed asset accounting and general financial reporting.

The Challenge
Reporting to a CA-qualified Group Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:

• End-to-end ownership of the fixed asset register across the group, including capitalisation, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
• Liaising with operations to ensure accurate commissioning and closure of capital projects
• Conducting periodic asset audits and ensuring integrity of asset data
• Supporting audit and statutory disclosures for fixed assets
• Preparing journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis during month-end close
• Assisting in statutory reporting and ensuring compliance with AASB standards (notably AASB 116 and 136)
• Partnering with operational teams and finance stakeholders to drive process improvement and reporting accuracy

The Expertise
This role is best suited to a CA or CPA (or near-qualified) accountant with 5–6 years’ experience, ideally beginning in a Big 4 or Mid-Tier audit firm. Exposure to clients in manufacturing, logistics, or construction will be viewed favourably. You’ll bring strong reconciliation skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to handle large volumes of data—ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience.
