Our client is now preparing to bring their site out of care and maintenance and back into production within the next 30 days.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Mine Manager (Superintendent) to lead all aspects of the mine restart, drive operational readiness, and build a high-performance site culture. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new leadership team and shape the future of a flagship Pilbara operation under new ownership.

About the Role:

As the appointed Mine Manager, you will take full accountability for the safety, productivity, and compliance of the site. Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading the safe and efficient restart of the iron ore mine from care and maintenance

Building and mentoring a multidisciplinary site team across mining, maintenance, safety, and processing

Managing compliance with Schedule 26 requirements under the Mines Safety and Inspection Act

Driving operational readiness planning, cost control, and site execution against production targets

Liaising with regulators, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure smooth operational transition

Embedding a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement from day one

What We’re Looking For:

WA Certified Mine Manager (Schedule 26) Certificate of Competency (essential)

Proven leadership experience in open-pit iron ore operations

Demonstrated success in site mobilisation, restarts, or early-phase mining operations

Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, risk management and safety leadership

Commercially astute with strong operational and technical knowledge

Ability to lead through ambiguity, build team alignment and deliver results under pressure
