Job description:

Bernard Chiu Legal & Business Solutions is a boutique law firm located in Citigroup Centre, 2 Park Street, Sydney. We specialise in property development projects, commercial and retail leasing. We are currently looking to employ an experienced paralegal to join our property team on a full time or part time basic.

Key responsibilities:

Preparation of legal documents in relation to residential, commercial and industrial conveyancing transactions including contracts for sale and completion statements;

Conducting due diligence searches and enquiries;

Drafting commercial and retail !eases;

Preparing and managing large volume of settlement files;

Managing client files and ensuring all necessary documentation is filed and updated accurately;

Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents and mortgage lenders;

Providing administrative support to the team including managing correspondence, phone calls and billings;

Working and managing files independently regarding property conveyancing matters with minimal supervision.

Criteria of the successful applicant

Experience as a property paralegal in property development projects, commercial and retail leasing (minimum 3 years preferred);

Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process and requirements;

Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;

Ability to work independently;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

High attention to detail and accuracy in work; and

A can-do attitude and genuine interest in learning.
