Errard Legal is seeking a dynamic and proactive Paralegal to join our team boutique firm in Ballarat. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal professionals in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparations and proceedings.

- Assist in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, agreements, and correspondence.

- Manage and organise case files, ensuring all documents and information are up-to-date and easily accessible.

- Liaise with clients, courts, and other parties involved in legal matters, maintaining professional and effective communication.

- Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings, including organising evidence and witness coordination.

- Provide administrative support to lawyers, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.

- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments to ensure accurate and informed support to the legal team.

Requirements:

-Final or 3/4th year student or first year Bachelor's degree in Law, Juris Doctor Paralegal Studies, or related field.

Previous experience as a Paralegal or similar role in a legal environment is preferred, but not essential.

Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of Australian legal procedures and systems is advantageous.
