We’re currently seeking a Fleet Maintenance Co-Ordinator to manage the inspection, servicing, and repair of our crane and heavy equipment fleet in Emerald, QLD. This role is critical to ensuring maximum fleet uptime, safety compliance, and operational efficiency across our Goldfields operations.
You'll play a key part in reducing downtime, managing service schedules, coordinating with Fitters and OEMs, and overseeing preventative maintenance strategies—while also contributing to operational reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Please note this role will entail regular site visits across the Goldfields as/when required and some after-hours or emergency response work may be required therefore only applicants who live local to Emerald will be considered for the role.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Coordinate and oversee all preventative and reactive maintenance for cranes and fleet vehicles
Manage maintenance schedules, inspection logs, and compliance requirements (e.g., CraneSafe, HVA Accreditation)
Liaise with internal Fitters and external providers to ensure timely servicing and repair of assets
Respond to urgent breakdowns on-site or in depot, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
Review and approve parts requests, manage inventory, track orders, and monitor costs
Conduct audits, assist with investigations, and implement corrective actions to maintain safety and quality standards
Deliver accurate reporting on fleet performance, downtime, and maintenance costs
Support communication across operations to ensure maintenance priorities are actioned efficiently

What You’ll Bring:
3–5+ years’ experience in fleet maintenance coordination or heavy equipment servicing
Strong understanding of cranes, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems
Excellent scheduling, planning, and diagnostic skills
HR licence required; MC highly desirable to support inspections
Proficient with fleet maintenance systems and confident with reporting & cost tracking
High attention to detail with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
