Bluestone Bar & Kitchen, one of Launceston's leading restaurants, is seeking a well presented and experienced Shift Supervisor with experience in leading a team, particularly for dinner. Applications from experienced bar & waitstaff who may not be ready to lead a shift are also welcome.

The position can be structured as part-time or casual and is a great opportunity for an experienced wait staff looking to learn more and take a step up.

The main duties of this role include:

• Having responsibility for the team in the absence of the restaurant manager, ensuring the shift runs smoothly and provide an awesome guest experience
• Working as a waitstaff on the floor, taking orders, explaining menu and drink options and serving food to tables
• Working behind the bar
• Delivering and serving alcoholic drinks to tables
• Assisting with events and functions.

To be truly successful and considered for this role, you will need to have and be able to demonstrate through your application the following experience and attributes:

• Able to work weekends and evenings, across breakfast, lunch & dinner shifts
• At least 1 year experience in a bar/restaurant
• A genuine passion for and knowledge of local food, coffee, wine, whisky and craft beer
• Strong barista skills
• The ability to successfully demonstrate your knowledge and passion to our guests through your excellent communications skills and good presentation
• The ability to work well within a team
• Initiative and be able to bring fresh ideas to the restaurant
• Attention to detail, loyalty, reliability and responsibility
• A current RSA Certificate
