A bit about the role
This is a newly created opportunity to promote, support and develop Community Sport as part of a professional and passionate team.
You will be proactively building strong relationships with Community Sporting clubs, empowering them to develop stronger, inclusive and successful clubs.
The position will be Narre Warran based with regular travel to Sporting Clubs.
What you’ll deliver
- Plan and implement club development programs to support stronger, inclusive and sustainable sporting clubs
- Provide support and development opportunities to volunteer committees
- Provide guidance and support on governance, club development and sustainability.
- Deliver club development workshops on key topics such as governance, financial management, volunteer recruitment, strategic planning and inclusion.
- Laise internally to promote increased utilisation of community sport facilities
What you’ll bring
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong understanding and commitment to the Community Sport industry
- Experience in planning and delivering sports programs or community initiatives
- Understanding of diversity, inclusion and equal participation in sports
- Degree in Sport Management, Community Development or similar, or substantial experience with lesser formal qualifications
- Drivers License preferred
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
