Due to the Partnear team continuing to grow, we’re looking for someone to be a key part of our Infrastructure team to help us deliver and drive quality civil engineering outcomes for our project team and clients. Whilst this role will have civil engineering as the core capability, as part of a small dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to participate and contribute to other aspects of our business, such as project management, client interaction, process development or business development.

Who you are:

A Civil Engineer or equivalent, with interests and experience solving civil engineering problems in the infrastructure sector, with the ability to produce and support the analysis and documentation of outcomes, in 12d and other CAD software

You’re comfortable working on projects from contributing to proposals and site assessments through to project output preparation, including; functional descriptions, design documentation and reviews

Proficiency in technical interpretation of client and internal stakeholder briefs, survey data, architectural and engineering designs

Initiate, develop and finalise engineering designs and project support work on time and budget in accordance with team, client and stakeholder expectations.

Produce engineering designs consistent with relevant standards including, but not limited to, Australian Standards, manufacturers' specifications, and client specific standards.

Work effectively within Partnear’s policy, systems, processes, culture and working norms to deliver consistent and quality work as part of a remote team.

Proactively and timely communicate to support the delivery of enquiries and project tasks and build relationships with our multidisciplinary team, ensuring collaboration on project objectives and tasks, deliverable coordination, management of internal expectations, and culture are maintained or improved.

What you have:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or similar

Working knowledge of CAD software and a preference for, and interest in, utilising 12d model

Ability to proactively identify, anticipate and solve design problems and project delivery risks from early briefs and through the design process

An understanding or awareness of some, not necessarily all, Australian Standards, WSAA, and Austroads codes relevant to drainage, water, sewer, signage, parking, road barriers and road geometry

Ability and willingness to attend project delivery sites and client offices around Victoria to Riverina NSW on an ad hoc basis (disbursements paid by Partnear)

Ability to deliver projects from scope development through to project delivery with diligent consideration for setting and managing expectations, cost and time management.

You have a positive attitude, the desire and ability to collaborate and are comfortable working with a team of engineers, project managers, as well as clients

Already working in Australia with ongoing eligibility
