The Role

Join a leading nationwide consultancy and make a meaningful impact on energy efficiency. We are look for an experienced NatHERS Assessor to join our team in a senior role.

You will be working alongside a tight-knit team, on a diverse range of residential and commercial projects across Australia. We serve architects, builders, designers and owner-builders, so you will be dealing with a variety of clients, all with their own unique project requirements.

Work arrangement:

Permanent full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Flexible start time, Monday to Friday).

6-month probationary period.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to our Chief Learning Officer, your duties will include:

Modelling residential buildings in NatHERS Software (HERO).

Producing energy reports based on data from the software and documentation.

Providing cost-effective compliance solutions.

Producing BASIX Certificates by entering data into a web portal - training available.

Modelling commercial projects (Section J/J1V3) - training available.

Assisting with the professional development of junior energy assessors.

Collaborating with colleagues and clients on technical queries.

Staying up-to date on the building codes and regulations.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience using HERO or FirstRate5 in a similar role.

The ability to communicate complex solutions with a high level of precision.

Comprehensive knowledge of the NCC Energy requirements.

Strong written and spoken English.

Advantageous Requirements (Not Essential)

Experience in producing Section J and/or J1V3 Reports

Experience in Green Star, BESS, Daylight modelling, WSUD, SMP and SDA
