SALARY- $ 144,826 P.A PLUS SUPER
The School:
Murrupurtiyanuwu Catholic Primary School is a well-established co-educational Catholic school located at Wurrumiyanga on Bathurst Island. It has an enrolment of 204 predominantly Tiwi students from early childhood to year six. You will be supporting a culturally rich community of learners with dedicated and committed teachers and indigenous assistant teachers focused on delivering a high quality faith based education.
The position:
The Deputy Principal holds a senior leadership position in a Catholic School. The Deputy Principal is challenged to be a person of faith and vision for Catholic Education and have the capacity to communicate this vision to others in the school community. The Deputy Principal works collaboratively with the Principal and other members of the school leadership team to provide strategic and operational leadership in the following areas: Catholic Identity, Leadership, Teaching & Learning, Pastoral Care & Wellbeing, Community and Culture and Finance, Facilities and Resources.
Essential Criteria:
A Catholic who is an active member of a Catholic Eucharistic community.
If circumstances warrant it, we will accept applications from a person of faith who is an active member of their community and is committed to Catholic values and participation in Catholic Worship.
Postgraduate qualifications or undertaking to commence studies in Religious Education, Theology and/or Educational Leadership.
Registration or eligibility for registration with NT Teacher Registration Board.
Working with Children Card (Ochre Card NT).
