Power Tools Plus is seeking a full-time Branch Manager in Forbes to manage the operation of the store and coordinating the team to deliver high quality service to our customers.

The successful candidate will be task oriented, have strong attention to detail and a passion for customer service. They will be a strong team leader and will be inspired by the opportunity to drive growth within the business.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Branch Manager is supported by the Head Office team, and is responsible for all sales, purchases and transfers through the store, all staff employed at the branch and all stock allocated to that branch. With Branches in Forbes, Parkes, Cowra, and Mudgee the Branch Manager will also be required to liaise with other Branch Managers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Lead and supervise the team

Manage stock and customer orders

Serve customers, offering expert advice and assistance

Maintain key customer relationships

Assist staff training and product knowledge

Respond to customer complaints and feedback

Actively review debtors and account customer health

Manage stock levels and undertake rolling stock takes

Manage inventory levels against sales history and target markets

Coordinate stock receivals, pricing and shelf display

Coordinate incoming and outgoing stock transfers with other stores

Maintain relationships with key suppliers and their representatives

Implement marketing campaigns, sales and promotions as directed

Manage daily balancing of cash and eftpos takings against POS

Maintain store and yard safety, cleanliness and presentation

The position requires candidates to have:

Customer service skills with a focus on customer experience

At least 2 years’ experience in a retail sales environment

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team

Computer, administrative and mobile technology skills (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, POS systems, accounts and associated paperwork)

Current driver’s license

The following is desirable, though not essential:

Forklift license

Experience with trade customers and/or the steel and industrial supplies industries

Stock management and merchandising experience

Current first aid certification

This is a salaried position. The remuneration package on offer will be based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

The Branch Manager is expected to work flexibly based on branch operational requirements. Usual work hours are negotiable with the most common arrangement being 8am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and every second Saturday from 8am to 12noon. The Forbes branch operational hours are currently 7am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 12noon Saturday.
