Scent Method has had exceptional growth over the last three (3) years and is currently looking to expand
Its production facility with a Production manager reporting to the Operations Manager.
Scent Method’s state-of-the-art fragrance production is focused around an automated dosing system
together with GCMS analysis, providing speed and accuracy throughout the process.
We are looking for a Production Manager who can add value and enhance our productivity and efficiency.
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in science, chemical engineering, , manufacturing, or a related field.
Must have experience with Automated dosing systems.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in fragrance, cosmetics, or chemical production, with leadership responsibilities.
· Strong understanding of fragrance formulation processes, raw material compatibility, and blending techniques.
· Familiarity with industry standards and compliance (e.g., ISO 22716, GMP, IFRA).
· Experience handling DG chemicals and procedures, and GHS standards.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficient in ERP systems, batch tracking software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
What you will do:
Oversee the automated fragrance dosing (robotics) system together with the integration of manual dosing to a fully automated manufacturing process.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily fragrance production activities to meet order deadlines and quality standards.
Manage raw material inventory, ensuring timely procurement and proper storage of aromatic ingredients and chemicals.
Collaborate with perfumers, R&D, and quality control teams to scale up formulas from lab to production.
Optimize production workflows to improve efficiency and reduce waste, downtime, or cost overruns.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, including handling of hazardous materials.
Maintain accurate production records, batch sheets, and compliance documentation for regulatory audits (e.g., IFRA, REACH).
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of mixing tanks, weighing scales, filling lines, and other fragrance production equipment.
Train, schedule, and manage production staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Troubleshoot process or equipment issues and implement corrective/preventative actions.
Effectively coordinated with the operations manager to ensure timely procurement of essential resources for fragrance production, leveraging predictive analytics to anticipate future needs and optimize resource allocation.
