Lotus People are thrilled to be partnering with a highly regarded life Insurance/FinTech company to recruit a Business Development Manager who will grow adviser partnerships and drive regional sales!

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of a high-potential region spanning South Australia and the Northern Territory. You’ll be the face of the business to financial advisers, driving sales, cultivating strong relationships, and executing growth strategies that support continued market expansion. This is a strategic role with the autonomy to shape your region’s success.

DUTIES

  • Build and manage an active adviser sales funnel in the IFA market
  • Drive business growth by leveraging and expanding adviser relationships
  • Develop and execute 90-day plans for high-value clients
  • Conduct in-person meetings, phone consultations and webinars
  • Ensure advisers are trained on products, systems and tools
  • Monitor panel retention and oversee in-force business performance
  • Capture all sales activities and client insights in CRM
  • Represent the company at key industry events and conferences
  • Provide insights on competitor activity and contribute to strategy
  • Support advisers with business planning to drive their success

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years' sales experience in the financial services industry
  • Strong IFA market knowledge, particularly in SA and NT
  • Superior relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Expertise in life insurance products and compliance regulations
  • Commercial acumen and experience creating tailored sales solutions
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation abilities
  • Advantageous: Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent
  • Bonus: Well-connected in the adviser community
